From Frumpy to Fabulous in Three Weeks: Day Two...

Day Two: Drink More Water!

One of the things that I feel contributes to my feeling of frumpiness is the fact that I have been drinking quite a bit of juice and soda. Though I do not have a coffee habit, there is nothing like a cold can of caffeine-free Pepsi poured into a glass filled with ice chips in my opinion! While I will probably still continue to enjoy a can a day, I am going to make a concerted effort to drink four large glasses of water each day. By doing this, I will know that I have keeping myself well hydrated and further on the road to being more fabulous!

I like keeping several water bottles or a pitcher in the fridge. It's so nice to be able to grab cold water at any time. Now that he's nearly weaned, I'm really careful to make sure DS is drinking enough too so it works for both of us. Sometimes I float lemons in it too-- even more refreshing! (Just don't let them get too old.)

When I decided to lose weight a couple of years ago, I made the decision to only drink water and coffee (unless I specifically planned it in my calorie count for the day, like a glass of wine). It was the best decision I ever made.

I now always have a glass of water with me. I feel great, less headaches, and I like to think I look ok!

I am also a soda pop fan, but be careful of daily ingestion especially during your child bearing years. The phosphorous in soda pop prevents proper calcium intake in the bones and can make them brittle. Child bearing also takes calcium from bones and teeth if you are not careful.
So you might be careful how much soda pop you drink. :)
Take care!!
