Sweet Child O' Mine

My amazing sister went out with my daughter and bought flowers for me. Thanks for the gorgeous bouquet and photo of my grown-up girl, Juliana!

Oh, Vivienne

I took my sweet goddaughter Vivi out for an ice cream today and we read 'Each Peach, Pear, Plum' while she ate.

Miss Fox-Gloves

My amazingly talented cousin @julia.eags painted this terrific little cameo. I am so excited to have her work in our home and will treasure it always! I love you, Julia! Thank you so much! 🦊

Giddy-Up Pencils!

I just LOVE the little horse pencil toppers that dear Lucy knit up for us! Aren't they charming? I really don't want to share with my children! I'm so happy that I was able to purchase them!

We're home from our California adventure.  We had so much fun, but it so good to be back!

Postcards

I bought some amazing vintage inspired postcards to send to some of our peeps at home.  I was so happy to find unusual cards to buy!

San Francisco Bus Tour

We took a wonderful bus tour around the city of San Francisco today.  We rode through the streets listening to an audio tour on earbuds.  The best part of the tour was riding over the Golden Gate Bridge on the top deck of the bus with the wind whipping through our hair and the sun on our faces.  What a gorgeous day in a gorgeous city!

Ladurée

One of the places I wanted to visit while we were in California was Ladurée in Los Angeles. They are a Parisian bakery that specializes in macarons. My daughter and I were able to pop in for a few minutes to savor the sights and choose some treats to nibble.  We broke each macaron into little bites so we could try each different flavor. It was such fun!

Twin Peaks

Father John took us up the winding roads to one of the Twin Peaks overlooking the city tonight. It was gorgeous, but the wind was whipping so hard that I was afraid we'd be blown right off the side! The fog was starting to blow in, too! Magical!

The Palace of Fine Arts

The Palace of Fine Arts was an amazing stop in San Francisco.  It is a little park with imposing structures that were built in 1915 as part of the Panama- Pacific Exposition to exhibit works of art presented there.  There is a pathway surrounding the water with turtles and birds to see...  I was thrilled to see a pair of swans!

Tartine

The children and I popped into Tartine bakery today while Father John was filming at the Old Cathedral on Fulton Street.  What a treat! We each picked something different and shared our choices with one another.  Everything was so delicious and the atmosphere was very chic.  I'm very thankful that my friend Elissa suggested visiting!

Buena Vista Winery

We spent an hour or so wandering around this lovely winery in Sonoma Valley.  I was really inspired by the place and took too many photographs!
