Autumn is Coming

Happy Hobbit Day!

Happy Hobbit Day, dear friends!

"Home is behind, the world is ahead, and there are many paths to tread through shadows to the edge of night, until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, we'll wander back and home to bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, away shall fade! Away shall fade!"

J.R.R. Tolkien

The pie is a Sour Cream Apple Pie. Find the recipe on @aliciapaulson's wonderfully inspiring blog, Posie Gets Cozy.

My lace wrap is growing and B&N had September's issue of UK Country Living in stock. It's going to be a good weekend!

School Begins

How's school going for everyone? Our first day started out on the hard side, but improved as things went on. Our older two did a terrific job rolling with the punches of virtual lessons and having to deal with luddite mother scrambling around to help figure out ipads, computers, and live streaming the Liturgy (poorly). It was almost a breeze to homeschool only one child in the afternoon.

First Day of School!

Our annual tradition of ice cream on the first day of school! We have a 9th grader, a 7th grader, and a 5th grader this year!
