It is very easy for me to fall off of the exercising bandwagon during the winter months because it is often too cold to venture outside with my little lady. I detest exercising just for the sake of exercising... preferring instead multi-task (cleaning, chasing children, etc.) or at least have fun (dancing, playing in the pool, going for walks, etc.) while I am working up a good glow (ladies don't sweat;) ). Awhile ago, I listed a few great ways to work excerise into your day. If you have any other ideas, please share!!

Hi Emma! I think this is the first time I've commented on your blog:) The way my 4 month old baby girl and I get some exercise (more me that her;) is to pick a destination and pair our walk with an errand. That gives me some "purpose" in my walking, and saves gas to boot! We did this yesterday by walking to the grocery store to return a move and pick up some french bread.
I agree about "purposeful" exercise. That's one of the reasons I dislike treadmills. I don't want to walk in place! The way I make my winter time exercise more bearable (using an elliptical) is to pop in a DVD or read (though sometimes that makes me motion sick). I know some people like to pray the rosary during exercise. Good for body and soul. :-)
