From Frumpy to Fabulous in Three Weeks: Day Three...

Day Three: Skin

When we get ready to start our day or are preparing to go to sleep at night, we often find ourselves rushing to do the minimum we have to to look decent: jump in the shower, throw something on, run a brush though unruly hair, brush teeth, and move on to the next task on our list.

Something that should be one of the top things on our list is caring for our skin. Following a simple routine of washing and moisturizing daily will pay off in the long run. While I almost always put moisturizer on my face I often forget or choose to ignore the rest of my skin. Personally, I get very dry elbows, hands, legs and feet. When I take an extra minute or two to smooth some lotion onto these trouble areas, I not only feel better, I actually look better! I resolve to do this for myself from now on. Hopefully by the end of these three weeks, it will be a habit!

My legs and hands get really dry too. And we won't talk about how broken out my face is.

I want to be fabulous. I blogged about it today -

Til tomorrow...

I'm pretty good about moisturizing year round, but lately my face is just so broken out, and I feel terrible! It's so hard to treat without harsh chemicals yet so hard to live with! I can't wait for winter to end. Ugh.

Moisturizing my face at night before bed was one of my New Year's resolutions that I've been really miserable at. But maybe I'll get back on it!

Love your blog, I've lurked here for quite some time, so thought I would say hello. :)

I love this challenge - thanks so much.

I've been working on the lotion too. My hands seem to get especially bad, so I've put lotion near the bathroom and kitchen sinks to help me remember.

Moisturizing my skin is something I actually do on a daily basis. I guess I have to since it gets so cold and dry here in Minnesota. I often totally neglect moisturizing my feet though so that is something I am going to make an effort to work on for the next 3 weeks!

I'm enjoying the challenge Emma and look forward to what you are going to post next! :)

Thanks so much for the challenge!! During my teens, I never bothered moisturizing, but now that I'm in my twenties I'm trying to get into the habit of doing it... this was a helpful reminder!
