The Good Wife....

"The advice in all of those books ran along the same lines: keep a well ordered home; be a cheerful helpmeet; be tuned in to his need for physical affection. I've read volumes on submission and volumes on traditional roles. Lots and lots of good advice."

I needed to hear those words today!! Read more from the wonderful article at Elizabeth Foss's blog, In the Heart of My Home.

I meant to ask you earlier if you've heard of the concept of a "man cave"? I've been meaning to since our earlier comments about feminity and giving our men space. I'll try to post on it one day.

Where we live now (in my granparents' old house), there is a small cabin behind the house where hubbie goes to study or just get away.

We are so much happier for having it. Ha! It's the same concept as in the Men Are From Mars... series: men are like rubber bands; if you let them stretch away, they'll pop back with more vigor!
