A Lady Gets Dressed...

A lady does not wear clothes so revealing that they embarrass others.

A lady wears a camisole if her blouse or dress is sheer enough to reveal the details of her bra.

A lady builds her wardrobe on a foundation of well-made clothes that will not be out of style after one season and will endure repeated cleaning and wear.

A lady knows that her posture is as important as any article of clothing on her back.

A lady is mindful of her appearance at all times.

If a lady chooses to wear nail polish, she makes sure it is not chipped.

What a great post! And I *so* appreciate the camisole suggestion.....it's something I've practiced for years. I just don't care to see the undergarments of other ladies! (o:

Hi, I came via Mrs B's blog.

It is so right about posture. I think that a lady's posture improves the appearance of her clothes. It's interesting because I was considering this as I passed a lady who was standing rather slumped at a bus stop recently. She was wearing some rather expensive looking clothes, but the way she stood and the expression on her face cheapened the whole effect. It made me consider the way I carry myself!

This is a lovely blog :o)

Hi Mrs. B.!

I totally agree about covering up undergarments! I find tank tops with a bit of lace do the trick for me:)

Hey Mrs. Blythe!
Welcome to my blog:) I often find myself slouching around to try to shrink my height.. I am 5'11". I have to keep reminding myself that it just makes me look s-l-o-p-p-y!

Hello Michelle!
Ah! Another Orthodox Christian! It is nice to meet you:) I will be visiting your blog frequently!

Love,
Emma
