I would love to try a sample of Jo Malone's Red Roses Cologne...

Composed of seven types of roses from around the world, red roses is a surprisingly clean, voluptuous scent. With a heart of crushed violet leaves and hints of lemon and spearmint, it unfolds like a bouquet of fresh-cut flowers.

That does sound nice. Very feminine.

I checked out her website and love the philosophy of scent combining she has. But, Oh my!.....her perfume is quite expensive! (o:

The Caswell-Massey is probably more fitting with my budget. (o;

I sure do love perfume though....it's one of my favorite indulgences.

I'm hoping that I can hit up a perfume counter that sells Jo Malone some time soon and check out what several of her scents smell like... $50 is quite a bit to spend on something that I see online. I just check eBay and they have a lot of the same sized bottles for half (or even less) than the original price! Hmmm... Maybe I'll be able to get a bottle sooner than I think!

Hi Emma, I've been away for a few days and missed your St. Nicolas post - I loved the photo of all your shoes! Also thank you for listing my site as one you visit - I feel quite honoured. My husband noticed it when I asked him to read what your husband wrote about Mary. We are now finding out more about the Orthodox Christian Church. Kathy

Well Emma, I bought a new bottle of perfume today. Although I'm not a big fan of the name, I like the scent of Ralph Lauren Hot. (?!) I really liked it in the store, and so far I like it on me. The best part is that it does not make my allergic mother sneeze -- I don't want to drive her away! :-|

Emma--you inspired me to check out ebay myself--now I've got a package of five samples coming so I can find my favorite! I spent a wonderful half-hour at the Jo Malone counter at Harrod's in London last fall and simply could not make up my mind, although my travelling companion showed great powers of decision and brought home a bottle of the grapefruit scent. I have great hopes for both Red Rose and Honeysuckle!

Oh, Anna, you lucky duck! You got to spend time at Harrods! I hope to go to Englad one day and visit some of those legendary stores. As soon as our ship comes in (i.e. paycheck), I will be purchesing a sample or two as well... I wish that Jo Malone sold them on her site. Have you seen her new suggestions to layer scents in order to create something unique? What a great (and expensivly decadent) idea!
