I bought flowers for the upcoming feast of Transfiguration yesterday and have enjoyed watching them slowly open the past twenty-four hours. They will go into the church tonight and then we'll enjoy them on our table after the weekend services. I think that the color is simply stunning.
Whenever we go to visit family, we stop at our favorite bagel store to buy bagels for the freezer. They are especially nice to have during fasting seasons. Two of our children love to eat them for breakfast with cream cheese and olives. Our youngest son was very generous with the olives today, don't you think? It must be time to teach him the adage "less is more."
