Joyous Feast of Dormition!

In giving birth thou preserved thy virginity, 

 In falling asleep thou didst not forsake the world, O Theotokos. 

Thou wast translated to life, O Mother of Life, 

And by thy prayers, thou deliverest our souls from death.
