Sugar Plum and I are both working on our Grasshopper shawls. Hers is in soft turquoise cotton and mine is in charcoal wool. She has been impressing everyone who sees her work!
that is really impressive of your young one! way to go!
I am loving that book, Habit of Being.. it's my breakfast reading, and while I read it slowly I really enjoy it... and it progresses to a deeper set of letters as it goes on! very lovely!
I wish I could get over my shawl aversion. I got so burned out on the last one. I have been trying to find a copy of this book here in town but I think I'm going to have give in and order online. It sounds lovely.

I love how you are both working on the same project. I can't wait to see them photographed together!

Elizabeth, it is interesting that you say that The habit of Being is your breakfast reading. It is my bathtub reading:)
Two beautiful shawls. How wonderful that you are both working on the same pattern.
your knitting is so lovely, and i can't help noticing the pretty project bag and that nice wooden yarn holder!
