In the Midst...

It's a busy weekend here.  Metropolitan Tikhon is visiting our little parish (and even staying in the rectory overnight!).  The children have been troopers.  With the exception of taking time off on the Fourth, we have spent the week readying the house, church and grounds for this visit.  It is so wonderful to have him here!  It is good to hear all that he is planning for the diocese and the Orthodox Church in America.

In other news, Sugar Plum had her first Confession tonight!  It is exciting to watch our little girl grow up!

How wonderful for your daughter!
I get a little teary when my dc go up for the first time. (Ok every time!)
I hope you and Fr. get a small rest after the Metropolitan's visit. It is such an exciting thing but I remember how tired our Mat. was after our parish had a visit from the Metropolitan.
