The Baby Dances is one of my favorite storybooks, tracing the first year of a baby girl in the company of her big brother until she takes her first steps into his arms. Absolutely precious.
Thanks-I will share this with my daughter who is expecting her second in July and has a daughter that is ravenous with her love for books!
I was given the Baby Dances book for my second baby's arrival, and see it is already suggested so will add my accolades...except at that emotional time I couldn't read it without weeping! It is gorgeous! Gill.

I wanted to tell you of another book for big siblings- Do You Know What I'll Do? by Charlotte Zolotow, with illustrations by Garth Williams.
It is the best book I have ever found for the youngest child in your family who is about to become a "bigger". The best! I wrote about it here on my blog.
