Blueberry Cream Scones
Ingredients:
2 c. Flour
1/2 c. Sugar
1 tsp. Baking Powder
1/4 tsp. Baking Soda
1/2 tsp. Salt
1/2 tsp. Vanilla
1/2 tsp. Cinnamon
1 stick Butter, cold and cut into small pieces
1/2 c. Blueberries
1/2 c. Sour Cream
1 Egg
Sanding Sugar
Method:
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Mix
flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon in bowl of food processor. Add butter and pulse blades until
mixture looks like coarse meal. Take care not to over process. Combine sour cream, vanilla, and egg, then add to mixture in food
processor; pulse just until mixture starts to come together. Fold in blueberries. Transfer
to lightly floured surface and pat into an 8-inch circle. Sprinkle with
some sanding sugar and score into 8 triangles. Place on a parchment
lined baking sheet and bake for 15 - 20 minutes.

Looks wonderful! I've never tried making scones but I love to eat them.
They are very simple to make, Matushka! This was the first time that I made them and was impressed with how easy it was!
I've never heard of sanding sugar? Is it just a coarser sugar?
It's like the decorating sugar that one would use at Christmastime for decorating cookies! I ended up just using regular sugar on top because I didn't have the other.
I love scones and these look wonderful. I have a great recipe for cinnamon scones. Can't wait to try these.
