Bathing Suits...

I finally took the plunge (ha!) and ordered a new bathing suit last night.  I know that bathing suit shopping is torture for most women, but I try to make it as painless as possible by just shopping online.  The biggest problem that I have had with suits in the past is that they have not been large enough in the bust area, and so this time I went with a Land's End swim suit in black that boats a larger size and more support for that area.  I am looking forward to receiving it in the mail!  Next on the agenda is to find a sunhat and a pretty bathing suit coverup!  Any suggestions?  I wonder if a simple men's button-down shirt would look good or just ridiculous.  What suit are you wearing this summer?

My husband and I went to Maui in the Spring and I wore a pareo/sarong over my suit when I wasn't in the water. I got mine at www.turtleislandimports.com . I got the premium quality one which was nice and strong, and it made me feel feminine. There are lots of videos online showing the many ways to tie the wrap, but I only twisted two corners and then tied those in a knot at my waist.
The shirt coverups I saw didn't appeal to me, but I can understand the need for them if the shoulders need protection. I had sunscreen on so it was mostly a modesty issue, and in Maui I didn't feel self-conscious about my shoulders.

Beautiful swimsuit... Most women of us women here in Greece have been using long pareos wrapped around the waist or tied around the neck and kaftans... They are nice, feminine and keep you quite cool...

What an awesome suit.
I haven't been able to find one that I like yet -- so I've been wearing suits from when I was in college and on the swim team.
They're fine, but not very cute.
I want something that isn't revealing, particularly at the pool with all the kids...and this might be just the ticket.

You always have such lovely clothing suggestions -- I am constantly impressed!

Last year I bought a swim skirt from lime ricki and a rash guard from girls4sports. Under it I wear a bikini I bought at target as an added layer. I wanted something modest, but modern and stylish.

I have Lands' End swim suit that I bought 2 years ago...it's orange and is two pieces, the top is a size smaller (unlike you) and the bottom is a swim skirt...I just can't bare to shave that area! I ♥ it. If I'm not IN the water swimming with my kids, I walk around in it, as I feel the swim skirt makes it one of the most modest swim suits on the pool deck (we swim at a city pool)!

I just finished making myself a suit from this pattern:

I absolutely love it! Comfortable, cute, and no worries about revealing more than I am comfortable with. :)
