I saw this last week on tv and it made me very sad. As you might know our best friend lives at the Patriarchate and ever since that interview, security has been hightened because they have had numerous threats. It is very sad. I think it was a very good interview and hopefully people who never heard of the Orthodox church now know who we are. There was also an article in the Turkish newspaper mocking the Patriarch showing an image of him crucified on the cross. If you would like, I can email you that image so you can see it.

Very impressive ! Thank you, Presbitera Emily, for having posted this interview. And also, thank you, Presbitera Kathy for the comment. We are, as a matter a fact, all crucified in this secular world...

I am humbled. I am an anglican-catholic, but I consider myself a christian, first. I am so sorry to see the persecution of our faith. I can only hope and pray that our love for God and Christ can overcome all. I am so happy to have found your blog. Not only am I a mother who stays home with her children, but I am also a woman who is looking for a way to live within the space of mother, wife and christian. Thank you for all you do.
Fondly,
Jessica
