An Update on our Little Man...

When we went to the hospital to visit our baby boy yesterday, we were thrilled to find him in a crib rather than his incubator! Happily, he is able to regulate his own temperature now and can be free from life in a box. He is also now officially over his birth weight at 4 pounds 3 ounces and is eating by nursing or bottle-feeding (pumped breast milk) mostly - though he still gets a few tube feedings when he's extra sleepy. We seem to still be on target for January second for his homecoming... I am literally counting down the days!

I hope you get your little guy home soon, and that you are soon snuggling on the couch together. It must be very hard to be apart - I can't imagine it.
Merry Christmas.

I'll never forget the day we went to the hospital and our son was in a crib instead of the incubator. It was right after Christmas, too. What a happy day! It's the last step before coming home!

My eyes welled up with tears when I read your wonderful news. Give your darling daughter extra cuddles while your arms are free. Soon you will have two little ones to snuggle at home! Thanks be to God.

Goodness, I can't imagine how difficult it would be to not be able to bring your little baby home for such an extended period of time. My prayers are with you.

It sounds like they are taking good care of him but I am sure you will be full of joy on the day you have him home with you!
