From Office Building to Church: Part Six...

Aside from getting cleared to have Liturgy in the new church on Sunday, the big job yesterday was the staining of the wood on the Iconastas. I love the rich color!

This poste reminded me...have you ever been to the icon museum...it is in Massachusettes...can't remember the exact town. It is just a little museum and I believe it just opened in the last year or two. It is small but it is CHOCK FULL and worth the visit!

Interestingly the guy who owns the museum and all the icons is not Orthodox or even Catholic. He is some sort of Protestant (don't recall what church he said he went to) and he collects icons mostly from Russia...he loves them as art and knows almost nothing about the scenes or the symbols (he gave a friend and me a tour personally when we were there). Very interesting fellow!!!

Anyway if you are ever in MA you should definitely check it out!
