...In
the bat-black, snow-white belfries, tugged by bishops and storks. And
they rang their tidings over the bandaged town, over the frozen foam of
the powder and ice-cream hills, over the crackling sea. It seemed that
all the churches boomed for joy under my window; and the weathercocks
crew for Christmas, on our fence."

We began the day breakfasting on fried eggs, bacon, and toasted rolls. The boys built a Kapla block table (with a Magna-Tile top) while I cooked and ate their meal on that. Our daughter was thrilled to discover that he favorite show, When Calls the Heart, had a special Christmas episode, and so she watched that while wrapped in one of her favorite gifts, a cozy evergreen colored bathrobe.
We took Uncle Greg and Auntie Danyella to see the latest installment of the Star Wars franchise, The Last Jedi. I am not really a fan of these types of films, but I have to say both my daughter and I enjoyed the film. I think that story-line has improved a bit.
Next of the agenda is to prepare for a little Christmas getaway to see family tomorrow! I'm looking forward to it very much!
