Yarn Along: A Blossom Tee...
I cast on for a test knit of Katherine Johnson's Blossom Tee last Tuesday and have been really trying to knit it quickly! It is such a great pattern. I really appreciate how clearly it is written... I am still very much a novice knitter and need things to be clear! I chose to knit a size 8 for Sugar Plum and holding it up to her, the sweater seems very true to size. Though the pattern is written for cotton, I decided to use some MadelineTosh in Logwood that I had in my stash so that it can be worn almost all year round (with a long sleeve tee shirt underneath in autumn and winter). I'm hoping that I can finish the body of the sweater before Sunday so that my sweet Sugar Plum can try it on before she leaves for a week away at camp!

The pattern is fabulous and so is the yarn! I love that color. MadTosh is so nice to work with. Can't wait to see that finished.
Beautiful pattern, and I love the color! I love a knit that is truly versatile and can be worn more than one season!
It would also be so pretty and dressy with a long sleeved blouse under it! Something with a pretty collar. I love this sweater!
That is so true, Arielle! Our daughter is now getting too big for a lot of the clothes that they sell off the rack at our favorite stores, and so I'm really going to scour ebay for reasonably priced April Cornell things... I believe that they have nice blouses with collars.
What a beautiful color!
That is darling!

What a great knitted tee. I love the yarn.
I'm really excited about that pattern coming out, and I like how yours is knitting up. I wish I could have test knit one! :-)
Oh, I love that yarn, and the pattern looks so sweet...dreamy! :)
