My sister,
Kate, is getting married in February and today was the day that we bought Sugar Plum's dress and shoes and Little Man's bow tie and vest! Now onto the tricky part... Mama's dress! I am the matron of honor and I need a tea length dress in blue. Any suggestions?

Wow, we've all been in the same boat!
Do you need navy blue like the children? What do you like for sleeves and neckline?
(Where did you get the bowtie?)
Hi Matushka! The bow tie (and everything else) is from Janie and Jack. The dress can be any shade of blue and must be knee to tea length. I am tall so I am shooting for tea length so that it isn't too short. I will do anything except spaghetti straps and strapless. Also, I am busty, so that has to be taken into consideration as well! :) Thank you!
When I got married last year, my husband and I had not much money, so my grandmother and I got a very practical dress that I would be able to wear to my husband's work functions afterward. It was pretty comfortable and flatterng. I've worn it a few times since.

I wore it in black, but that's the dress in navy, and I know it comes in brown and dark purple too. My grandmother hemmed it to tea length for me.
I love the dress Meag posted! It would look really lovely on you.
I'm sure you will find something lovely! Nice that you can choose from various shades of blue! Not sure where you would look, but want to hear / see what you find!!
Beautiful things for the kids!
Happy day to you.
I love the above dress from Nordstrom. It looks like it would be a lovely dress that you could wear for many occasions. The following link is a dress that they listed as "mother of the bride", but it seems too young for that. But it may be too fancy...you'll have to scroll about half-way down the page to the "mother of the bride or groom dresses" paragraph. http://www.bridesmaiddresses.name/page/2
It might not be quite the right blue but this dress reminded me of the one for your daughter.

When I purchased a dress from Shabby Apple for my daughter last year, I found their size guide to run small - so even though we chose a dress that said "fits generously" we still went up a full size from what she wears usually. The company was very good about a prompt exchange though.
Happy hunting!
I love them! Juliana and I stopped by Janie and Jack today and saw the selections in person. Everything looks perfect.
