This is the menu for the big family dinner served at my mom's. Every mom, grandma, and aunt chips in a couple dishes. There should be about 17 people there, some of the cousins are spending the holidays this year with their in-laws. It wouldn't be a proper holiday meal without pyrogies and cabbage rolls :o) And I really should make some Kutya, Ukrainian dish with wheat, poppy seed, and honey.
honey-baked spiral ham green beans ('greek style' i.e. in red sauce) cream cheese mashed potatoes spanikopita cranberry sauce fresh baked rolls (although at this rate likely not homemade) coleslaw snowman cake (totally 3D and very cute!) ... I'm forgetting something but I don't know what ;-)...
And yes it doesn't really sound likes it goes well together to me either, but it's what everyone requests year after year, so be it!
Pork steak mashed potatoes roasted mushrooms and cauliflower fried apples and cinnamon croissant rolls and low carb rolls salad Christmas cookies low carb lemon bars
spiral ham cheese potatoes green beans homemade bread cheese ball/crackers random goodies collected over the last month or so for snacky goodness: smoked salmon, cranberry nut mix, cinnamon snack cake... much more.
