Beautiful Privacy...

Our new home has two bathrooms with windows in very inconvenient areas. One overlooks the shower and the other is very close to the toilet. After searching high and low for curtains for a narrow window and a window that would be wet frequently, we happened upon Decorative Window Film by a company called Artscape. I have to tell you, I absolutely love how they turned out! We chose Wisteria, but there are many other options to pick from (we were also considering Magnolia). I cannot wait to show you the real pictures!

When we were househunting, we visited a home with window films like this all over the place. It almost made the windows look like stained glass, but I had no idea what it was called. So pretty! What a great find!

You know, our downstairs bathroom has a window in the bath tub. It's a hexagon, and I haven't given it much thought since we don't use the downstairs tub, but maybe this would be a great idea!

We had a similar problem. I took stickers shaped like butterflies about the size of quarters and scattered them over the window, then I used etching cream, witch etches the galss...sort of "fogs" it. It is not able to be seen through, but light comes through.
Then, I took the stickers back off and there were small clear spots where shaped like butterflies. It looks really good. I wish I had known about what you did though, I can't wait to see how your project turned out when you post the pictures.

Lovely!

I hope you do show us the project pictures soon.

Does it really keep people from seeing through? We have a huge picture window over the bathrub in our master suite. My mother in law made a balloon curtain for that window.

I am so thrilled I came upon this post!! I have searched for these at other stores but now I can order it online. Wisteria is just what I need in our spare bedroom. Happy decorating.

Artscape does have some very cool and bold designs. Their children's "Princess" is very cute.

Our designs (etched glass, stained glass, and frosted) are a bit more traditional and quite versatile. All are non-adhesive, static cling vinyl, so it truly is a do-it-yourself project. Installation takes only minutes (just pull of to remove) and they are even reusable.

Thanks for having a look at us too! We will gladly send (free) samples.
