I always bring more than I can possibly knit and read on road trips. This time, in addition to other reading materials, I have three Persephone Biannually magazines. I save them and save them so that thety can be savored. I enjoyed the short story "Christmas for Mrs. Smith" by Dorothy Whipple so much and also really loved the article , "Always the Bell Rings," in which Nicola Beauman writes about Charleston (home of Vanessa Bell and the Bloomsbury Set) and why the domesticity of the place is so important. I believe the Perspehone Bianually no. 28, Autumn/Winter 2020-2021 may be available on the Persephone Books website, if you would like to read it.
