Someone told me about the Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society after I told them I loved watching Foyle's War. I can't wait to read the book and diary and watch the show. I seem drawn to shows set in England in the 40s. What era is Vera in?

I've tried making the sour cream apple pie and it was a complete disaster. The custard was runny, making the crust soggy. I don't know what I did wrong, but I'm afraid to try it again.
