Yarn Along: The Scent of Water...

I was able to see two of my sisters (and, of course, LUCY!) when we went to the Sheep and Wool festival in our area.  Kate gave me ten huge balls of her own homespun in a beautiful milk white color and I wasted no time in casting on to a simple stockinette stitch blanket with a garter stitch border.  I can't wait to give it back to her!

I've begun to read The Scent of Water and really hope that I like it...  I could use a new go-to author!

oh! I hope you LOVE this book!!! I sure did! It was the book for me that was in ways like Phantastes was for CS Lewis... transformed me into a new seeing of spiritual reality and hope, when I was 19... read it again years later when I was about 28 and just as good... I've been thinking I should re-read it soon! :) Can't wait to see your knit blanket! what a sweet thing it is for sisters to knit together and share yarn! :)

There's nothing like knitting with hand spun. Your yarn looks so soft and squishy! Hope you enjoyed the festival.

okay, that book just went on my amazon wishlist based on all the loving reviews I read here! I would love to have a new author too! Beautiful handspun, I can't imagine someone just handing me all the gorgeous yarn to work with!
