Since yesterday was one of the few fast-free Fridays (in honor of Pentecost) of the year, we made it special by grilling steaks, eating lots of yummy potatoes, and enjoying Fr John's favorite dip and veggie platter. My husband had to go to the grocery store for a few odds and ends and came back with ice cream. It was a great night! Plus, we get to enjoy leftovers for lunch today:)
What did you eat?

Looks great! I need to make those potatoes again. I hope the evening improved and went smoothly. Enjoy the weekend!
How lovely!! I was at a baby shower and we had a lovely meal with chicken, veggies, a pasta salad, cheese cake and white wine; a truely lovely meal!
I kept thinking how appropriate it was for this festal week!
A matushka I know sent a memo to all her friends: "To all Orthodox Christians: Since this week is fast free, DROP WHAT YOU ARE DOING AND GO BUY ICE CREAM!! NOW!!!" I was happy to comply...
Oh yeah! That looks awesome! Well, Fr. Justin had to go to the big city last night and do a Slavonic service. So, the girls and I were on our own.
We had leftover pizza. It was good, but not quite as good as what you all were having!
Blessed fast for you all!

Yeah, we just had hot dogs, but it was a treat not to have beans on a Friday. ;)
I'm on it. Coming to a picnic near you, Mat. Michelle, double stuffed red potatoes. Boiling potatoes. right. this. minute.
