Oh we love Shirley Hughes too. The first book I ever read was "Dogger" to our oldest son who is now 24!We have also loved all the "Alfie" books. Her illustrations make great art study...I love your Valentine shelf! My husband's birthday is Valentine's Day!
The book in the center is Colours by Shirley Hughes (propped open to the page on the color red)... One of our favorites!
