Hats in Church

My friend Kelly and I are wearing hats to Liturgy today. We decided to do it together for moral support. That's how we ended up wearing scarves on our heads, too. We picked a Sunday to start and never stopped. Now, there are a handful of ladies in our church that cover their heads. Maybe we'll see more hats now, too!

I tried that experiment myself, shortly after I started covering. I like hats. I wear them often, and it was fun to find some nice ones to match my favorite church clothes. I quit and went back to the scarves, though, when I discovered my hats with brims tended to knock the chalice when I bent to kiss it. I still prefer hats, personally, but so long as kissing the chalice happens in my church I'll have to leave them just for the Vespers services! :D
