We made applesauce today using Sarah's Applesauce Recipe from AllRecipes. It is so easy and delicious!
- 4 apples - peeled, cored and chopped
- 3/4 cup water
- 1/4 cup white sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Method
In a saucepan, combine apples, water, sugar, and cinnamon. Cover, and cook over medium heat for 15 to 20 minutes, or until apples are soft. Allow to cool, then mash with a fork or potato masher.

**I didn't bother peeling or coring the apples. I just cut them into chunks and proceeded with the recipe. Once the apples were tender, I put them through a food mill. It worked like a charm and was a lot less work!**

We use the same recipe for applesauce (minus the sugar)! We're definitely overdosing on apples, pies, and cider over here...best time of year!
I got a food mill for Christmas last year, I'm looking forward to using it for applesauce in the next few weeks.
Lovley! someday I hope to make my own apple sauce too (right now I don't really have space for extra equipment etc... )
