Saint Martin is such a wonderful example for our children! I love that this feast comes right before Advent, and that there is such a beautiful focus on giving, and on light.Tell me, do those lanterns work well for the kids? They don't heat their hands? I'd love to know where you got them, if you don't mind :)Happy feast, and a blessed few remaining days before Advent begins!
What a beautiful day!
yay! would love to hear about the lamps too... so beautiful! I ordered the book on St. Martin from St. Nectarios Press ... thanks for info on it :))) I hope it comes before we have this feast on the old calendar so I can use it for Sunday School! :)))
Thank you, ladies! We had a wonderful day! The little candle holders are from several years ago... I think that I bought them at Pottery Barn, but I couldn't findvthem on the current website. I wouldn't be surprised if Target, Michaels, or Hobby Lobby stocked similar ones though. We didn't have any problems with burned fingers. In the smaller ones I put either a tea light or a votive that was half used to help protect them.
Oh it looked like a warm walk for you! We luckily had a dry walk this year but it was so cold! My youngest told me he was shivering like the beggar and could we please go in.
