Bright Tuesday...

Before the dawn, Mary and the women came and found the stone rolled away from the tomb. They heard the angelic voice: “Why do you seek among the dead as a man the One who is Everlasting Light? Behold the clothes in the grave! Go and proclaim to the world: The Lord is risen!” He has slain death, as He is the Son of God, saving the race of men.

Today was our first day off in so long.  We had no church services, no visitors, no painting, and I did no housework.  It was glorious!  I made a hearty breakfast today, but we enjoyed lovely leftovers for the rest of our meals.  Though the weather was bit dubious this morning, it stopped raining before lunch and cleared sufficiently for the children to spend most of the afternoon out-of-doors.  I did a lot of knitting and watched a few things:  the recent television movie Confirmation and a few episodes of Home Fires (which was a re-watch, but just as good the second time around!).  It felt nice to just loll around today after such a busy Lenten season.
