A Williamsburg Ornament

I bought this little ornament while we were on our trip. We've gone to Colonial Williamsburg during the 12 Days of Christmas two years in a row and I love having this little remembrance for our tree!

On the Sixth Day of Christmas

It's already the Sixth Day of Christmas! We've spent the day at home. I made a lovely pot of creamy sausage soup and we enjoyed bowls while re-watching a few episodes of the first season of All Creatures Great and Small. We're excited about the second one coming out next Sunday (Jan 9th)!

On the Fifth Day of Christmas we enjoyed a few more hours in beautiful Colonial Williamsburg before heading home to our snug rectory!

On the Third Day of Christmas

On the Third Day of Christmas, we visited a darling little winter wonderland! There is a village of child sized houses and shops decorated for Christmas and filled with fun things to play with- play food in the diner, a television playing The Grinch in the theater, fire fighting gear in the fire house, etc.). They also have some food trucks, hot chocolate stands, live music, and local shops have stalls to peruse. We were sorry that the rain kept the roller skating rink closed, but it was a lovely outing nevertheless!

Flopping Paperwhites

My paperwhites were flopping all over the place, so I made a little bouquet for next to my pillow to perfume my dreams.

On the Second Day of Christmas

On the Second Day of Christmas we followed a meal of Five Guys burgers and fries with a walk on the boardwalk... on our way home one of our children took a nap in the car, but the other two went down to the water's edge to explore and take photos of this beautiful spot.
