Great and Holy Tuesday...

The blossoms have burst on our thundercloud plum trees.  It will probably be raining here on Pascha, but there will be flowers!

All five (!) of us went to Confession tonight.  The big kids, Papa, and I were discussing Confession and reminding one another how to prepare, and little four-year-old Button said that he wanted to go first.  When we told him that he was too young (our other children went at seven), he started to cry and insisted that he wanted to go.  We explained Confession to him and asked him what he would say to Father Daniel.  We decided that he could try it based on his answers.  He ran up to Father Daniel and came out smiling.  I'm not sure what he confessed (obviously), but it was a very sweet moment to see him standing very seriously next to a kneeling Father Daniel.  It was a very bittersweet moment for this mama.
