These cheery flowers have been brightening up our dining room this week. They are as fresh as they were when I bought them at the farmer's market last Friday. I attribute that to the fact that I am following our flower lady's recommendation to change the water in the vase every other day.
My sister and her family have been visiting since Friday evening and we have been busy little bees! The highlights of our visit have been taking a trip to several of the beaches here, popping into a local yarn shop (which I was thrilled to discover now carries MadelineTosh!), and spending time start on several projects.
I'm sad that they are going to be leaving tomorrow in the early afternoon... I think that peach crisp we're planning for breakfast will soften the blow (we're easily distracted;) ). The next time we see these dear people, God Willing, there will be a new little boy to snuggle... Lucy's baby brother is due in mid-Septemeber!
