We were able to go to Saint Tikhon's Orthodox Monastery and Seminary for their annual Memorial Day Pilgrimage. Following the Hierarchical Divine Liturgy and Memorial Service, we were able to venerate the miraculous Kursk-Root Icon of the Mother of God and the relics of St. Seraphim of Sarov. After a picnic lunch, we toured the museum dedicated to Orthodoxy in America and visited the seminary bookstore before heading back to my father-in-law's house to celebrate our little two-year-old's birthday!
