Lenten Pizza

I made our favorite vegan pizza (dreamed up by my dear sister) for the potluck after Presanctified Liturgy: pizza dough, tomato sauce (well drained in a sieve over a bowl), sauteed vegetables (mushrooms, onions, peppers, garlic, and baby spinach), chopped kalamata olives, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning. Baked at 450 for 15 minutes on a well heated pizza stone.

Fleurs

I made four bouquets out of those Trader Joe flowers the other day. One was quite large and for someone with a birthday in our parish, one was for our daughter in honor of her performance yesterday, one was for our dining room and this one was for my bedside table.

Sweater Progress

I meant to take a photo yesterday of my sweater progress, but I forgot to! I was able to meet my goal of getting through all of the sleeve and body increases last week and yesterday I divided for the sleeves and knit two inches of the body. If I can knit two inches each day this week, I will be able to start the ribbing and first sleeve next week!

Also, is there anything more delicious than leftover Chinese food for lunch?

Thrift Shop Decor

I found this amazing tapestry at the thrift store yesterday. It balances with my knitting shelf so well!

Living My Best Life

I have always wanted a round table and mentioned it to a parishioner who said, "Oh, I have one! I'll send you pictures and can bring it by before church on Saturday night!" So she did and it is perfect. And then my sister sent me the most wonderful flowers for my birthday on the 5th. So now I am basically living my best life.

Order Up!

Our daughter is performing in a skit called 'Order Up' this week. She did a fantastic job on opening night!

For Annunciation

Muscari (or, grape hyacinth) and purple hyacinth all potted up for the feast of the Annunciation on 25 March. Hopefully they'll be blooming by then!

One Sweater

I finished up the short rows for my Fibre Co. One Sweater last night. I'll be tackling the sleeve and body increases next and hope to have that done by the end of the week.

A Bit of Green

Bluebells are popping up along the edge of the wood. They are a new addition this year. A parishioner dug up a multitude from her garden and I transplanted them here. The early daffodils are finally blooming, too!

Birthday Girls

Our parish held a joint birthday party for Matushka Dunia and for me today (a little early for us both, as our birthdays fall during the fast)!

Forgiveness Sunday

Forgive me, a sinner.
