A New Addition to My Wardrobe...

I ordered this skirt (at the prodding of my mother) with a free shipping code and received it today. I LOVE IT! It is very soft and made from stretchy cotton, but isn't cheap looking. It is form skimming but not tight and the color (I picked navy) is just right! I plan on getting the brown, black, and gray versions in the near future!

Since having Ben I am alllll about knit skirts. I also got a really nice beige-ish one at J.Jill

  3. Lovely! I'll have to look into getting skirts from them - had never thought of it. I wonder if they have them at the Land's End section of Sears?

  4. I have a couple of these in the older style and they are super comfortable but, yeah, pretty frumpy. I don't know what they changed but this looks like a huge improvement!

  5. I adore Land's End's clothes, (apparently I'm all about the frump) and this one looks awesome!

  6. Apparently, Mimi, you and I share "frumpdom," since *all* my clothes are from Lands' End. For awhile I wasn't buying anything from them because the colors were *so* garish, but last year they returned to the rich, deep tones and classic styles that I had always loved, and I promptly broke the bank replenishing my wardrobe. Can't wait to see their new fall catalogue!

  7. I'm sorry if I offended you, Mimi and Meg. It wasn't my intention and I ask your forgiveness. I've removed the comments about their clothing being frumpy.

  8. This looks like a great skirt. I tried it on my "virtual model" and I am wondering if it is fairly straight when on or if it is full and swingy. I'd rather a little swingy! I think I am going to order the brown one! So pretty.

  9. Dearest Matushka, there is *no* offense at all, they are such lovely clothes, and I loved saying "all about the frump" :)

  10. Eikenberrymom - On me, it's a little of both... it is not too straight, nor too swingy. I hope that you like it! Let me know:)

  11. Thanks Mimi! I was mortified thinking that I had offended you and Meg! I love you both!

  12. By the way, I'm about to order one of those cute plaid skirts, and a sweater off the overstock sale that should match. Cool.

  13. I tried to leave a comment yesterday, to the effect of Mimi's "Don't worry about it" -- I can't remember it all, but it stated that I've been a frump basically ever since I started grade school (Mom: "Let's go shopping for dresses!" Me: "I HAVE a dress"), so frumpdom is nothing new to me. No offense taken, believe me -- nothing anyone could say could possibly be as bad as some of the comments my mother had.
