Yarn Along: The Reading Promise...

I found out about The Reading Promise through Sarah's Instagram account last week and immediately checked the library for a copy.  I borrowed it a few days ago and have only a few pages left.  It is such a well-written memoir and it has really encouraged me to re-double my efforts to read aloud to our children!

I have about 20 more rows left on the Riverbank Cowl and will be casting off either tonight or tomorrow!

  4. Wonderful cowl! I just added the book to my audio list! I actually read the description of it and got weepy. My husband's father read to him that way and now he reads to me. Can't wait til we have children and we can continue the legacy!

  7. It does sound a lovely book. I adore reading out loud - I take every opportunity my 17 year old gives me! And luckily, still have little students I tutor so at the moment we are reading "Bridge to Terabithia" - so lovely. I shall definitely check out your book - sounds my cup of tea.
