I'm nearing the end of the Seashore Cowl and can't wait to try it on! I really like the color of this yarn and hope that we get one or two cooler evenings when I can wear it. What will I knit next?
A friend lent me Into the Wild. It is a little darker than my usual fare, but I am enjoying it. The author really has a way of drawing the reader in. There is also an Into the Wild film that I may try to watch... it's been recommended a few times.
I really like when the cover of my book looks good with my yarn, and today my children's breakfast matched both! It's Summer Blueberry Cake. I just substituted blueberries for the strawberries and it is even better (if that's possible!).

I love the feeling of closing in on the end of one project and thinking about what to knit next! I'm anxious to see how your cowl turned out. I am sure there will be cool enough evenings for you to be able to wear it.
ReplyDeleteYour cowl is very pretty. I like the color of blueberries. I saw the movie and found it to be a bit disturbing.
ReplyDeleteChad and I tried to watch Into the Wild a few years ago and we both fell asleep. I think Cecil was an infant so that may have had something to do with it but the movie sure didn't help.
ReplyDeleteI love your fancy skein holder and the color of the yarn. That is such a pretty pattern.
ReplyDeletevery nice!!! :) and yummy for the breakfast!!!
ReplyDeleteI read Into the Wild in college and enjoyed the book- the movie not as much. Beautiful yarn!
ReplyDeleteYour cowl is quite pretty and your cake is making me hungry. I love blueberry cake. I have several recipes because I usually make one for my MIL for her birthday.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful knitting and the cake looks delicious.
ReplyDeleteYou and I really do have the same taste in books I guess! I think we'd be friends if we were in the same vicinity.
ReplyDeleteI, too, thought it was dark, but a very interesting read.
