I'm nearly done with my Riverbank Cowl... only a few more rows until I bind off. It ends with a few rows of ribbed knit which I am looking forward to finishing. I never realized why my ribbed casts offs were always so wonky and my sister mentioned that you had to cast off knitting and purling as you go. That makes a lot of sense (previously I was just knitting to cast off) and I am excited to see the finished product!
I did find a copy of Maggie Now. It is going quickly, but I can tell that it will not be my favorite Betty Smith novel... it's depressing.
What are you knitting and reading?
love the neutral color of your cowl, it will go with just about everything!!
ReplyDeleteit's looking great!!! :)
ReplyDeletei didn't know that either...good to know. It looks so cozy and warm!
ReplyDeleteI like the cowl. I've got to start another of some sort. I like knitting them. A friend once pointed out that there were more books in the world...even in our library, than I could ever read, so don't feel guilty if I didn't want to finish one...there were plenty more waiting for me. I like mostly happily books. My SIL always would tell me about these depressing books she was reading. No thanks. I'll read fluff if I need to!! Finish yours and find a happy one for next!
ReplyDeleteSadly, it never really picks up. A book of missed opportunities and hard lives...
ReplyDeleteI like your cowl. I need to knit one for myself.
