I am chugging right along on Sugar Plum's cardigan... I am a few hours away from finishing the sleeves. I will to try to do the button bands on my own, but I may have to wait until Thursday to get a little help during knit night.
We picked up a copy of A Nest for Celeste while we were running errands last week. It is a huge hit with Sugar Plum and Little Man and has inspired a lot of drawing and sketching!
I have never heard of that book before. I will have to check it out!
ReplyDeleteI followed the link to Amazon... and bought a copy. :) It looks lovely.
ReplyDeletelooks like a great book! the sweater is looking lovely!!
ReplyDeleteYour sweater is beautiful! What yarn is that? I tend to make everything for my girl in blue and red since it looks so pretty on her, but I just bought two skeins of dusty rose madelinetosh (this is going to be an expensive sweater!) for her birthday/Pascha sweater. But I've got Tiny Tea Leaves queued up too - maybe for her fall sweater! I love your navy version!
ReplyDeleteOh that yarn is delicious and the sweater looks fabulous! Great job!
ReplyDeleteI hope that you like the books as much as we do, Michelle!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Arielle! The yarn is Madeline Tosh (clematis)... it is a purple blue color and so much prettier in real life. So far, I have been very happy with the pattern so far! I think that you'll like it!
ReplyDeleteWow - that book sounds wonderful! Thank you for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI hope that you enjoy it as much as we have, P&JL!

ReplyDeleteAnd the color on your sweater! So lovely!
Thanks, Amy Caroline!
ReplyDeleteGOOD BOOK! I read it a while back. Have you read The Invention of HUGO CABRET by Brian Selznick or Wonderstruck by the same author?? You might like them too. Hugo is a Caldecott award winner. Bought it through my scholastic book order several years ago..worth it.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the book recommendations, Karen! I will put them right on my library list!
