Within an hour, we had an earthquake (we are all okay!), had to chase a snake out of the garage, and had a cement truck bring a load of cement to our neighbor (who is building a horseshoe court)... lots of thrills for three little people I know!
I didn't feel the earthquake either, although some near to me claim they did.
At the mention of snakes, I was reminded that a friend told me yesterday her husband had killed 4 in their yard within an hour and a half! She said they must've felt something in the earth...as it was between 1 and 2 pm.. The animals always seem to clue us humans in!
we sure felt it here. We are in Northern VA and my youngest was woken from his nap. My in-laws had a lot of stuff broken and knocked over. Phone service was a mess.
My aunt has cows and she went outside during the rattle and hum and they were mooing mournfully
