Tea Party...

After having attended two teas these past few months, I knew that a tea set would be something enjoyed by our little ones. Unfortunately, the set that arrived on Sugar Plum's namesday had a broken piece, so trying everything out had to wait until a replacement set could arrive. Today was the day! We set out my great-grandmother's embroidered breakfast cloth, a tiny vase of flowers and pitcher of apple tea to refill the pot and the children were ready. Papa was invited for a cuppa and even the little one wanted in on the action. What fun!

  3. How lovely! Where did you get the set? With a young daughter (17 months), my mind is already jumping ahead to tea parties.

  4. Hi Sarah!

We got ours through Amazon (http://www.amazon.com/Childrens-Tea-Set-colors-vary/dp/B00003GPDU/ref=sr_1_11?ie=UTF8&qid=1310093750&sr=8-11), but if you are looking for a first tea set, we also have Schylling Toys Rose Tin Tea Set in Tin Basket and the children love that one very much, too! The only trouble we had was that it really can't contain much "tea". Also, we played with ours in the tub and it got rusty:(

  5. Looks like fun! I played "tea party" with my one year old the other day (she got a plastic set for her birthday). She didn't quite understand the game, but seemed to be amused anyway.
