I have been reading and slowly savoring Miss Read's Thrush Green series for the second time. I will always be thankful that Anna suggested these books to me! I plan on beginning the Fairacre Novels in order next... I don't want them to end!
Do you have a favorite series of books?
Oh, I have several series I enjoy! My favorite has to be Anne of Green Gables series, wait, the Mitford series. I thoroughly enjoyed the Fairacre series as well.
ReplyDeleteI love the Mitford series, but also enjoy the James Herriot books. Oh, and I love the Lord of the Rings trilogy and The Hobbit. Plus, I enjoyed the Little Britches series by Ralph Moody. We had to read Little Britches for school and I liked it so much I checked out the rest of the stories that came afterward.

ReplyDeleteI LOVE Miss Read. When I went to England a few years back, I made a point to visit the little town that Thrush Green is based on. She's right up there with Jane Austen in my book!
