I love baby hands and feet too, Matushka! Our little guy's nails need to be trimmed though! He is scratching everyone. I have to do it with emery boards though b/c his nails are still too tiny to cut with even a baby clipper!
Ok, this may sound gross, but you can also "nibble" at baby nails with your teeth. It's easy to tell where to stop. :) My rather traditional Doc recommends this method.
Patty, that's just what I was going to say. More experienced friends of ours told us that when we had our first one. They told me a little late because I had already nicked one of her fingers (drawing blood and earning me a few gray hairs). It's incredibly easy to bite their nails.

ReplyDeleteSo it was a special joy to me, as a convert-in-progress, to notice that baby Jesus had "piggies" in the icon of the Theotokos holding him.
