We did something similar when we came back from a weekend away to find six inches of snow on the ground - in Alabama! It was about 9:30 PM and I had planned on hustling the children inside and heading them into bed. Instead, we let them play in the yard and have a snowball fight in their church clothes with the condition that they not yell and wake the neighbors. It is good to be spontaneous sometimes. (c:
