After seeing this as inspiration, I commissioned a woodworker to create a figure of Christ Carrying the Cross. I am really happy with how it turned out! I would really like a wreath like the one Anne Voskamp's son carved, but ideally I would love to use it for the Nativity Fast (40 days), Great Lent (48 days), and Dormition Lent (14 days) so it might be tricky to create.

After seeing this as inspiration, I commissioned a woodworker to create a figure of Christ Carrying the Cross. I am really happy with how it turned out! ReplyDeletehave you seen that he (Caleb Voskamp) is offering 50 wreaths for purchase? I am planning to get it to use for Lent and Advent - since it will have 40 days total. didn't think about dormition - but we already have the birthday candle ring for that.
