A week or so when it rained for about eight days in a row, the babies were just getting over a cold. I couldn't take them outside to splash in the puddles with their wellies for fear they would get sicker, so we did a lot of this:

Sugar Plum was pretty devastated by the realization that the prisms we had recently hung in our windows wouldn't work without the sun shining. Fortunatly, I had a book of kite paper purchased to make window stars, so we jazzed up the dreary view with a bright yellow one. I think that they will really cheer things up in the gray and brown haze of January and February next year. Despite how intricate they look, they were quite easy!

That star is lovely! I have never heard of kite paper, but I'm wishing I had some now. (Although it is already so hot where I live that you want to take a walk after dark when it has cooled to 75 degrees!)
ReplyDeleteI'm about to place an order at Nova, so I think I'll definitely add on the kite paper!
