Phenominal Movie...

I rented this for a recent Mom's Night Out that I hosted (I also rented 27 Dresses and Made of Honor) but we just gabbed instead of watching anything. Fr John suggested watching it during his lunch break and while the kidlets napped today. I am so glad that we did! He was very skeptical of it, but thought it was so good that he's planning on using it for February's movie night at the church!

I plan on getting the book... has anyone read it?

  1. Thank you for recommending it. I have been doubting on whether or not to watch this one. I have heard some bad remarks on the acting quality and the dialogue. And I'm pretty sensitive to those. But now I might end up seeing it after all.

    Be loved and blessed,
    Eva

  2. My copy of Fireproof and The Love Dare are coming on February 4th. I CAN'T WAIT! I loved Facing the Giants and I have heard wonderful things about this movie, thanks for adding to them. I'll let you know what I think of the book.

  4. HI Eva!

The acting is NOT superb. We nearly turned it off in the beginning for that reason. However, we kept going and the story more than made up for the made-for-tv feel that the flick had. If you watch it, I would love to know what you think!

  6. I can't wait to see this. I put a banner on my blog when it first was in the theatre and now it is on the top of Netflix queue but says "long wait". Can't wait!

Just for fun: my word verification says MOMURU.

  9. I loved the movie too! I bought the Love Dare book and I think it's a great tool for married couples. There are a few things that I don't think are aligned with an "Orthodox" mindset but overall it's terrific!
